WE HAVE A WINNER!

You see it all the time; "Sign up and Win," the sign says. It makes you stop and think, "Am I really going to win, or is this just a gimmick?" In this case, when Lester Daniels came to the Long Beach motorcycle show, he had no intentions of winning anything. But, as fate would have it, Lester would be the proud owner of a new set of Cobra exhaust pipes just a few days after the show, Free! We took some time to interview Lester, and see how he feels about this big win.

What kind of bike do you ride?

I ride a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero. I bought this bike because it was affordable, and easy for me to ride. Besides it only cost ten bucks to fill the tank!

What do you do for a living?

I am a warehouse manager for the LA Unified School District. I live in Compton, so the commute is mostly highway.

How old were you when you started riding?

I was 40 when I got my first bike. I have had it for only six months! I have always looked at motorcycling and said to myself, "that looks like fun," but I just never did it until recently.

What got you into riding motorcycles?

I bought the bike as a cheap and fun way to commute to work. Now it seems like I am trying to find any reason to go for a ride. I enjoy getting out there, and riding my bike!

What is your favorite part of motorcycle riding?

I really like the speed, and the freedom. In a car you have a seatbelt, and a windshield. On my bike it is just the road and me!

Do you own any other motorcycles?

No, this is my only bike. There were some cool bikes at the motorcycle show. I really liked the Victory Vision that I saw in Long Beach, that bike looks really comfortable! I like to get out on the highway, and go, so that looks like a good bike for me.

If you could ride anywhere in the country, where would you go?

I would like to ride up the coast, like on Pacific Coast Highway. I really want to take my wife on a ride to San Francisco, and ride over the Golden Gate Bridge. Then tour the city a little. It just looks like a cool place to ride!

Do you have any other family members that ride?

My Brother in law Raymond rides. He has a custom chopper. He kind of got me into the sport, and because he has a bike, just made me want to get a bike even more. It would be cool to have a chopper, but I like my bike for what I use it for.

What other Cobra Products do you have on your bike?

I have Cobra Highway Bars, and Saddle Bag Supports. I want to get a lot more, it just takes time, my bike is work in progress.

And now you have Cobra pipes!

Yeah, thanks to you guys I have a new set of Cobra Pipes! I can't wait to get them on! My bike is really going to sound good now, and I can't wait to see what it does for the bikes performance.

What pipes did you get?

I got the Cobra Power Pro 2-into-1 exhaust. I like the way it looks, and it has a lifetime warranty on it! I like that.

How about a more fun question; If you could ride with anybody famous, who would it be?

I would want to ride with Keanu Reeves. He seems like a really down to earth guy, and it would be cool to get on our bikes and ride the coast or something.

Thanks Lester, and Enjoy the new pipes.

Thank you!

Emissions Notice

The state of California considers aftermarket exhaust systems to be legal replacement parts for non-catalyst equipped motorcycles and/or if slip-on mufflers are installed downstream of the OEM catalysts.

California does not allow the use of aftermarket systems that remove original equipment catalysts, (except for racing use only) unless the Air Resources Board has issued an Executive Order for that system.

For California riders we offer Air Resources Board approved Fi2000 R ARB units. (ARB E.O. No. D-633-1). All other Fi2000 models are not legal for street use in California.
